OMNI 4″ LT is an omnidirectional sound source composed of an array of twelve 2″ loudspeakers, which allows the source to be isotropic at every frequency octave band.
The speakers have been carefully selected after numerous tests and accurate simulations using CAE software to meet stringent performance requirements.
Highly portable and efficient, the OMNI 4″ LT sound power is 123 dBA when fed with the AMG mini amplifier and noise generator signal.
A sound source for room acoustic measurements does not have to weigh 15kg, 4.5kg is sufficient
Acoustic measurements are traditionally carried out using pink noise. This process has been state of the art since the 1950s and often requires enormous sound levels from the sound source. As a result, the speakers are large and heavy.
By using correlation methods (starting from 1980), the sound levels required for acoustic measurement can be significantly reduced.
